AMARA QUARTET in 2nd Edition of
She Arts Festival, Cairo (EGY)
It is with great enthusiasm that we prepare for our first performance outside Europe. The 2nd edition of She Arts Festival will take place in the beautiful city of Cairo, Egypt.
Our participation will be supported by the GDA Foundation, to which we are very grateful.

8th Edition of the Expo Iberoamericana EXIB Music, Setúbal (PT)
Among more than 450 projects Amara quartet is one of the 18 selected for Show Case at the 8th Editiof of EXIB Música Setúbal 2022, with the production "Las Brujas del Fado".

AMARA QUARTET selected for
SHOWCASE at the Visa For Music Festival, Rabat (MA)
Visa For Music is an international festival whose mission is to present new artistic talents from Africa, the Middle East and Creole territories, and are expanding to other horizons. It has more than 8,400 World Music professionals from 85 different countries.
Amara quartet was selected to showcase on November 19, 2022, at the 9th edition of the Festival that will take place as usual in Rabat, Morocco.
Our participation will be supported by the GDA Foundation, to which we are very grateful.

The group begins 2022 in an excellent way presenting the new quartet’s line up that integrates the sublime sonority of Accordion asserting Amara’s musical identity.

It is the female expression of Fado and stands out for the elegance, strength and beauty.
The purpose of their music is to carry on the Fado tradition from a contemporary perspective, exploring a new tales of poetry.
The music of Amara quartet blends the heritage of the broad world of Fado “tradicional” with subtle elements of contemporary classical music, and the rich Portuguese folk music.
